Tiger Ceramic 4-1/2″ high density flap discs are designed for maximum performance when grinding aluminum, stainless steel and other hard-to-grind metals. A top coat protects high-value parts stainless steel parts from heat discoloration and also prevents loading on soft alloys like aluminum. Ceramic grains utilize a crystalline structure that is designed with millions of fracture points that self-sharpen at a higher rate than other grains. The result is a high material removal rate, cool grinding, and reduced friction at less pressure which reduces operator fatigue. The type 27 flat-style high density design is conformable to irregular surfaces when grinding between 0 – 15 deg and is ideal for edge beveling, chamfering, weld grinding, and blending with a right angle grinder. Top-coated for cool grinding, protecting high-value parts from heat discoloration. Contaminant-free (contains less than 0.1% Fe, S, Cl). Ceramic alumina (CA) grains are self-sharpening micro-fracturing crystals that expose sharp edges, maintaining a high cut-rate for the life of the grain. Prevents loading on soft alloys like aluminum. High density flap design is conformable to irregular surfaces.
